New Year Projects

There is a lot of action afoot. I am currently knee deep in recording tracks for Behind the Shades and re-recording/polishing up the tracks on Aphotic Transmissions. Beside these personal musical endeavors, I am also working on new designs for the Steam Void Sound website; New direction, new models, same great quality. Hopefully with the will of fate and my calendar, I can sort most of this out by January or February 2011, but with my track record of progress on these business moves…who knows.

Client Area

After many months of toiling with platform choices, I have decided to rebuild the Client area myself. There will be a link on the homepage as well as the services page once it is complete. Current Clients do not need to worry, everything will be transferred over to the new platform. I am always trying to find ways to improve and simplify my online model and this will make screening material and leaving impressions easy without all the email traffic and IM. The goals are:
- Easier File Upload and Download
- Dynamic project notes
- Client Approval automation
These are just a few of the major points involved with rebuilding the current engine. Dynamic data will make the system easily adaptable and offer more tools to the client.

After a long time of waiting for film festivals and various permissions, the watch page is open for your viewing pleasure. Please keep in mind that all the videos on that page are copyrighted by their respected owners/creators and any duplication or distribution without their expressed written intent is illegal. I have a few other videos I will be uploading over the next few weeks. I hope to get the page nice and fleshed out. I have had a niche market for horror, drama, action, and mystery flicks. What can I say – you can’t choose what’s available.

New Direction for Pralaya

Back in August of 2009 I announced the project entitled “Pralaya.” Since that time it has been pushed aside and moved under for other projects. I knew what I wanted from the album, but was unable to express it until now. Project Pralaya is my next big move here on the site. It will not be released as a CD, instead it will debut as a horror/mystery film showcase along with other material on my upcoming client sample DVD. As of now, all the tracks and original concept art are all about to change. The sample DVD will be discussed later, and it will be highly theme and genre based instrumentals designed to showcase my work on film and game media. More will follow.

I need a feeler from site visitors on whether or not to offer my personal releases as MP3 downloads – for sale of course – here on the site.
Loading ...A few* of the albums will be available on iTunes, Rhapsody, and more, but setting the downloads up here on the site takes considerable time and $$$ for design of the store app. I figure if I get enough responses saying yes, then it will be worth the effort – excluding the robot responses.
*The Darkness and Logos will not be available on iTunes, Rhapsody, and other sites.
