Advertising on the Site/New Promotion
Advertising
As you may have noticed I have slowly been implementing a rough advertising campaign focused on musical related venues throughout the site. After testing the incorporation of these ads into the layout I have found only minimal java and/or loading problems… soooo…. if you experience glitches or have issues with the pages displaying properly please contact me (using the contact button above next to the search bar) so I can address them.
New Promotions
I have been pondering ways to offer promotions that are beneficial to everyone involved and I decided to offer a limited time survey participation discount toward albums bought in the store. The current means of buying albums was configured before Paypal switched to their new “high-speed” and efficient interface. So now I can finally offer the discounts and incentives I had once hoped for without the hassle of using some shoddy two-bit e-commerce solution. The sticky-post survey on my Blog’s front page and the main homepage which asks about the individual albums will be available later this week in my Survey section. I am offering, upon instantiation of the survey, a 10% discount of your total checkout price until 31 December 2009!
The Industry Producer Survey has been taken down and will be replaced with a new and better interface that integrates a little more seamlessly into my e-commerce model, making it easier to track customers and do automatic offers etc. etc. The discount for producers and film makers (Clients etc.) is still 10% off the total bid for your job!(!!!) This is absolutely unheard of. Checking my competition reveals no equal offers and I am proud of it. I do it mainly because I need this information for client-base locality, project demands, pricing models etc. I know most of you cringe at the thought of doing a survey, but believe me it is worth it. I have already heard awesome congrats from people I have worked with who have participated and I would like to keep it going. I am not sure if it is the idea of a survey that turns people off or the fact I don’t advertise its existence well enough. Both concerns will be taken into consideration and I assure you – there is no need to cringe.
