Originally set to a poem, My Friend (the album version wasn't released with lyrics) is a very strange song focused on mixing various elemental styles of music I have learned over the years. It is of course arranged for the acoustic guitar and a Mexican bass, as with all the other Logos tracks, but it is very distinct from them. It is more fantasy based and focuses on the idea of nostalgia. There is no surreal story for it, but it is a very nice little ride through the imagination and it glues together multiple types of music. I quite enjoyed writing it and it fit well being the opening liner for the following journeys through the imagination.
