The Spice would seem to be an orphaned motif on Logos in comparison with the other tracks. That is partly true, since it was one of the few songs I wrote based on an idea that wasn't originally planned to be on the album. That idea, of course, fell through and I ended up rearranging it in a like manner to the rest of the tracks. Logos needed something a little more upbeat and higher tempo; The Spice filled that need. It's more of a psychological painting of some reflections that really don't have any extreme significance and ended up being more of a test on my ability to write a different kind of bass line. That is pretty much the gist of it. :)
