Waiting was sort of an anticlimactic end to an album that had no concrete reasoning behind it. The Darkness itself was a collection of loose thoughts on various abstract subjects. Waiting was a more intimate piece, made very simple and layered with loads of effects. It was meant to be a cap stone to these very "out there" pieces being that it is a very concrete and meaningful piece...very short and to the point. It concerns itself with how my mind has wandered aimlessly through many esoteric and off-beat fields of research over the years and how in the end, I only wanted something ideal. Ideal, but never real.
