A Black Rose for Atlantis
A black rose is like a light in my soul.
A black rose is like a flight from my soul.
Boy meets girl, girl meets boy
under the sun they find each other.
The light shines, and blinds out
everything else around them.
Boy loves girl, girl loves boy.
Boy loves girl, girl loves boy,
under the moon they hold each other.
The night shines and breathes in life (you got it right)
You got it, you got it right…
Come spring time, when life shines,
the roses bloom throughout the land.
Come night time, in the moonlight,
the roses seem gray.
You got it, you got it right…
Boy picks one, and smiles,
and places a ring beneath its bloom.
He takes it, returns home…
Boy calls, girl smiles,
she agrees to meet him down by the pier.
All alone, in the night she flies…
Boy arrives, not long,
finds the girl naked and alone.
Body bleeding, skin's blue
head's twisted and arms are loose.
Boy needs girl, girl dies.
He holds her body beneath the moonlight.
He's shaking, she's blue,
his eyes close to seek some truth.
He get's up and moves to
the edge of the water that they both knew.
He looks out…to sea,
jumps in and he breathes deep…
Life leads here,
give your rose to your heart
and return to the start beneath the waves to Atlantis
Dream now, dream now... on
