Commission Request Form
Please include any details that would be pertinent to the project. This includes arrangement, orchestration etc. Please be advised that at the moment, my equipment does not permit any live orchestra requests, and the orchestra samples I have are insufficient for mastered products.
After submitting this form your request will be entered into the database and a response will be sent to your entered email as soon as it is processed.
Send me your Project Details:
Using the commission request form on the site, send me your project's most basic details and add any comments you feel might be pertinent to the project, such as specific arrangements or genres. The rest will be covered in detail through your response and our initial sessions.
Receive a free commission quote via email:
You will receive a response within 1-3 business days which will cover basic pricing and open up a line for direct communication as you see fit. I will then take any and all of your input and requests for your project and enter the agreement phase based on which licensing options you chose.
Enter into Agreement:
At this point I will fax or mail you a copy of the agreement. A member who represents you and your project legally will be required to sign and send this back to us. Upon receipt of the agreement I will begin work on your project and mail you a signed copy of the agreement for your records.
FTP the files or mail your DVD media to me and receive a FTP login for project monitoring:
During this time I will develop a means of acquiring the current demo, if any, of your project or a cue sheet (for film and games) in the absence of a readily available demo. You will be given a FTP username and password which will allow you to upload files and check the status of your project as it comes together. You will also gain access to your personal web page here on the site where you can share your feedback and provide additional direction that falls within the scope of your agreement.
Your finished product will be provided to you based on the terms of the agreement designating the means and type of transfer and media that you will receive your finished product.
Basic Pricing Formula
I base my prices primarily around the requests of the customer. I provide quality original music and subcontract out any services that I can not feasibly provide myself. I try to keep your costs low while maintaining a high standard in my work-for-hire end product. For most cases I charge per finished minute of music. As many of you who have worked with a composer know, this is the popular standard. Additional costs are affected by a number of variables:
- Complexity of the work required i.e. Advanced scoring, Orchestral arrangements etc.
- Licensing options
- Services which will need to be subcontracted i.e. Mastering services, CD duplication etc.
- Rental fees for projects requiring specific audio codec standards
Just to name a few....
In most cases I am fully equipped to perform the needs of most small projects. Larger projects requiring surround sound, complex or rare encoding, and other implementations will take longer, need more third-party equipment/studio-time, and likely cost a little more. All of this will be covered during our early discourse, well before the start of the project and the signing of the agreement. I am completely honest about my capacity and you will know without any hidden charges or quote fees whether or not I am the man for your job - but know now that I am!
